Delilah Huntsman 1922 ~ 2010
Delilah Huntsman, age 88, died Sunday August 22, 2010, in the Dixie Regional Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1922, in Enterprise, Utah to Emery and Ida Staheli Huntsman. Delilah worked as a secretary for the Washington County School District and then for Dixie Jr. College. She retired as the Coordinator for the Utah State Educator's School Lunch Program, the Commodity Clerk Coordinator. Delilah was a faithful, active member of the LDS Church. She served many Bishop's as their Special Called Secretary; attending to special responsibilities that the Bishops would delegate. Delilah loved life. She was kind, gentle, giving and generous. She was quiet and also reserved. Delilah loved her nieces and nephews and was revered by them all. Surviving family include her siblings, Leland (Donna) Huntsman of Enterprise/St. George, UT, Laura Drexl of Salt Lake City, UT, Lenora Truman of Enterprise, UT, and Lewis (Jeanette) Huntsman of Willard, UT; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merlin and John Huntsman; sisters, Elda Lee, Lilly Mangum, Winona Hunting, Karma Prisbrey and Allie Harrison. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Stake Center, 50 S. Center Street, Enterprise, UT. Friends may call Thursday, August 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George and also Friday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center.
