Vernell Christensen Anderson, 94, died peacefully January 11, 2011 in Salt Lake City.She was born January 26, 1916 in Rigby, Idaho to Hans Henry Christensen and Carena Hilberg. Married Don L. Anderson January 2, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together for 58 years they raised five children. Don passed away in December 1992. She loved Jesus Christ and lived her life as an example to all. She enjoyed homemaking tasks, rides in the country and her family. She served in a variety of callings in the Church and shared her time generously with her friends and neighbors. Survived by children: D. Lee (Karen), B. Craig (Ruth), Karen Mitchell all of Salt Lake; Jeffrey (Carlette) of Alpine, CA; and Steven of Tucson, AZ; sister Donna Farris; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by husband, Don; brothers: Wes, Dutch, Leon, DeMonte Christensen and sister Euella Larsen Terry; son-in-law Gerald Mitchell. Services: Friday, January 14th at 11:00 a.m. Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 106th So., Sandy, UT. Friends are invited to call one hour prior to the services. Burial at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
