Yvonne Norton Together At Last
Yvonne Norton danced into the loving arms of her eternal companion Donald Norton who was patiently waiting for her beyond the veil on January 23, 2011 just two days after turning 81. Yvonne was born to Ted and Emily Gillette on January 21, 1930. She grew up in Tooele attending Central School and Tooele High School. Yvonne met and married Boyce Hollar while he was stationed at Tooele Army Depot and together they raised five children. Boyce and Yvonne later divorced. Yvonne was introduced to Ballroom dancing by her mother, Emily and together they would often go dancing, and they were very good at it. It was at a dance in Murray that a dashing man named Don asked her to dance and swept her off her feet. They were married in the Jordan River Temple on July 9, 1998 and were inseparable until Don's passing in September, 2003. Yvonne's biggest joy in her life was her family. She was always loving and supportive in their activities and will always be remembered for kindness, sense of style, her love of dance, and her collection of angels. Yvonne is survived by her children; Rick Hollar, Leslie (Leon) Harvey, Mike (Cindy) Hollar, Michelle (Rick) Dare and Brent Hollar, her brother Ronald (Sharon) Gillette, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren with four more on the way. A viewing will be held at Tate Mortuary on Wednesday, January 26th from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral services on Thursday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Tate Mortuary 110 S.
