Obituary: ALLRED, PHILLIP

Phillip Troy Allred 1978 ~ 2011Our strong and loving son lost his battle to addiction on September 28, 2011. Phil was a man that wasn't afraid to fight and he usually won, but not this time. Phil was born on November 13, 1978 to Art and Connie Allred. He was the youngest of 6 brothers and had to be tough, but was tough with a great heart. Phil's friends and family always knew that "Phil had their back." Phil was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong love and testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith and our savior, Jesus Christ. Phil loved everyone and he was known for his hugs. He loved children, especially his 18 nieces and nephews. Phil graduated from Olympus High School where he played football and went on to play at Dixie College and Benedictine College. He loved the time he was an ultimate fighter and gained many friendships while serving in the Army. Phil, you can now be at peace in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.Survived by parents, brothers: Gary (Gina), David (Cindy), Mark, Steve (Emily), Mike (Amber), 18 nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 to 10:30 am prior to the funeral and on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holladay Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary 4670 Highland Drive. Interment: Mt. View Memorial Park 3100 E 7800 S.
