STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Assistant coach Jay Paterno returned to his father's home after the first Penn State game in six decades without JoePa as the boss.

Jay Paterno remains on staff, though it's unclear how much longer he'll stay after the school embroiled in turmoil eventually gets around to hiring a new head coach.
For now, Paterno is expected to move from the press box to the sideline the rest of the season to relay play calls.
