Roger Walter BurakMay 18, 1961 ~ November 11, 2011The world has lost a light, that touched so many lives.Roger Walter Burak was born in Utica, NY to Walter and Elaine Burak. He grew up in Oriskany, NY. He moved to Sandy, UT with his family in 1976 when he was 15. He attended Jordan and Alta High schools. In 1983 he married Leslie Babb and together they had two children, Amy and Adam. In 1999 he married Misty Lee and together they had a son, Samuel. Roger valued his family above all things and will be missed by his children and his two grandchildren, Kylie and Hallie.To know Roger, was to love Roger. An amazing man who made many friends, he was wise, funny, intelligent, talented, caring, romantic and true to his word. With his quick wit and charm, Roger always seemed to know the right thing to say. Truly a man without enemies. He enjoyed riding his Harley and hosting BBQs with friends and family. He had a love for music, cooking, beer and football. Go Utes and GIANTS!He was preceded in death by his father Walter Burak. He is survived by his children, granddaughters, his mother Elaine Burak, brother David Burak, sister Lori Caporale, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many friends who loved him like a brother.A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 16 from 6 to 8 pm and a memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m. Services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
