SALT LAKE CITY — Danielle Killpack and Jennifer Lanting had eight kills apiece on Senior Night as the University of Utah volleyball team swept Colorado, 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 27-25) in the inaugural Rumble in the Rockies match Wednesday night at Crimson Court.

Utah (11-20, 6-16 Pac-12) completed its second season sweep of a Pac-12 opponent by outhitting the Buffaloes in the match, .250-.171. CU did manage to outblock Utah, 5-4, marking Utah's first victory in a match this season where it was outblocked. The Utes are 8-0 when winning the first two sets of a match this year.

Killpack had her eight kills on 15 attempts with only a pair of errors for a team-high .400 hitting percentage. Lanting made her first start of the season and only committed two miscues on 17 swings for a .353 hitting efficiency. The duo tied for team-high honors with two blocks apiece.

Freshman outside hitter Chelsey Schofield turned in a team-high 11 kills and also had 11 digs for her eighth career double-double. She ended her first Utah campaign with 16 double-figure-kill matches.

Sophomore middle blocker Erin Redd was the second Ute with double-digit-kills. She posted 10 kills on 22 attempts and only four errors.

Sophomore Morgan Odale tied for team-high honors with 12 digs and also turned in nine kills.

Junior setter Abby Simmons handed out 34 assists and also registered seven digs.
