It's a flock of birds. It's a formation of planes. No, it's the Justice League.
The second issue of DC Comic's Justice League comic hit the streets recently and the new story line is starting to unravel. The success of the first issue has been astounding. David Hyde, vice president of publicity at DC Comics, said, "The first issue of Justice League sold over 250,000 copies across an unprecedented four printings."
At the tail end of issue 1, Batman and Green Lantern travel to Metropolis to find Superman, only to find out he isn't happy to see them. Issue 2 takes off with some battling back and forth between Batman, Superman and Green Lantern. Throw in the Flash and things really get fired up. The Flash goes after Superman, claiming he's never been hit by anyone before because he's simply too fast.
Eventually, things settle down and the heroes begin to talk about some mysterious occurrences taking place across the nation in cities where super powered individuals exist. The storyline cuts back and forth between the leaguers and the development of Cyborg. The comic ends with a revelation about the terrible villain that seems to be behind the mysterious creatures appearing in super-powered cities.
It's a flock of birds. It's a formation of planes. No, it's the Justice League. Hyde said, "Readers are witnessing the very foundations of DC Comics' shared universe including the first appearance of the Flash, the life-changing event that will transform teenager Vic Stone into Cyborg and a hint at the world's first reaction to a mysterious Amazon known as Wonder Woman…"
The comic is rated Teen and contains some vulgar language, blood, violence and frightening images.
