Hollis Gilbert Hullinger, 97, passed away March 11, 2011, at the Sr. Villa in Roosevelt. Born January 23, 1914, in Vernal, to Winfield Scott and Emma Theresa Lybbert Hullinger. Married Elaine Goodrich, October 6, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died September 12, 1983. Married Grace May Miller Bowman on June 23, 1984. She died September 20, 2008. Former Stake President, Stake Patriarch, and twice as Bishop. Received Scouting's Silver Beaver Award. Was an ordinance worker and sealer in the Provo and Vernal LDS Temples. Former Mayor of Roosevelt City and served as president of the Utah Idaho (Softdrink) Bottlers Association. Survived by his children, Gilbert (Alice) Hullinger, Roosevelt; Faye (Hugh) Girsberger, Sandy; David (Elaine) Hullinger, Provo; Phillip (Sharon) Hullinger, Ogden; John (Korinne) Hullinger, Roosevelt; Teresa (Harold) Munn, Springville; Amelia (Dennis) Garner, Roosevelt; Deanna (Ralph) Lloyd; Dearwyn (Burke) Eldredge, both of Sandy, 45 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wives, Elaine and Grace, 11 siblings, daughter-in-law, Arake Hullinger; son-in-law, David Crapo; grandchildren, Michael Eldredge and Michelle Hullinger; and great-grandchildren, Braison and Elle Hullinger. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center, 447 East Lagoon Street. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary, 457 East 300 North, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
