LEHI — A Utah County woman says the man accused of running off with a 13-year-old Arizona girl made advances toward her daughter, too.
Felicity Wilkey describes Jordan Anthony, 19, as a dangerous predator. She said the same man police are looking for in connection with the missing 13-year-old Ashley Kingsbury from Tucson threatened her own teenage daughter just one day earlier.
"I was honestly scared, shaking, sick," she said. "My daughter wasn't home at the time. I called her and I just wanted her in the house. I was frightened."
According to Wilkey, Anthony left two profanity-filled messages for the Wilkeys' 15-year-old daughter Sunday evening. Family members were frightened enough to call police.
"It was very alarming, disturbing," said Ty Wilkey. "Of course, being the father, you get all this aggression."
Felicity Wilkey said her daughter became Facebook friends with Anthony a couple of months ago. According to her, Anthony said he wanted to date her daughter and several other girls ages 13 to 15.
She believes Anthony is dangerous because of "the aggression in his message over someone telling him they don't want to go on a date with him."
When Wilkey's daughter turned Anthony down, Felicity Wilkey claims he got enraged. At about the same time he left those messages, a police report says Anthony was headed to Arizona to pick up Ashley Kingsbury, another Facebook friend.
"If I was that girl's mother, I'd be concerned for her safety, because if she does not go along with his wishes, his temper is proven," Felicity Wilkey said.
Anthony's Provo roommate, Karl Monson, described him as friendly and said he was trying to get his life together. Monson said he was "shocked" to hear of the allegations, but then said Anthony had been acting erratically in recent weeks.
"I never saw any flashes of temper, but I know he's had a past of having anger problems," Monson said, adding that he believes Anthony might make threats, but doesn't think he would act on them.
Ty and Felicity Wilkey say they're glad their daughter felt comfortable enough to talk to them about her interaction with the man.
Police and the FBI are aggressively working to locate the Anthony and Kingsbury.
The FBI and Pima County sheriff's deputies are trying to track Kingsbury by any cell phone or credit card evidence. The two met online, then communicated online and by phone for as long as a year, according to a police report.
Deputies are asking the public to be on the lookout for a silver Hyundai Elantra with Utah license plate number Z75 4UV.
Authorities believe the two planned to run off together for some time, and Kingsbury texted Anthony to pick her up Monday morning. That's why they did not issue an Amber Alert. But they aren't ruling out kidnapping, either.
Her family says her room was ransacked before she left, and the teenager uncharacteristically left without her cell phone, her purse, her makeup or any clothes.
"The cell phone being on the floor, and the glass being on the floor — and from what we understand, there was just some dents in the wall," said Jessica Federica, a family friend.
Investigators say when they arrived at Kingsbury's home, there was only a shattered photo.
The family just hopes she will call.
"(Every time the phone rings,) my heart beats faster and I pray it's her on the other line," Carrie Kingsbury said.
Neither Anthony nor Kingsbury have been heard from since, but police believe they are heading east.
