BARDWELL, Ky. — The identity of a 6-year-old boy killed in a bus wreck in western Kentucky has been released.

Carlisle County Coroner Steve Freeman said the child was Logan Simpson of Kirbyton. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Monday afternoon.

The school bus was shuttling elementary children back from a day of swimming and games for reaching their reading goals when authorities said it swerved off a two-lane highway and rolled over several times. At least 19 others, mostly children, were injured.
