SALT LAKE CITY — Gas prices show no sign of relief for the pocketbooks of Salt Lake drivers.

Average retail gas prices in the Salt Lake metropolitan area have risen 4.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.65 per gallon as of Sunday, according to gasoline price website SaltLakeGasPrices.com.

A visit to the site, where members post the gas prices of various fueling locations, shows regular unleaded gas at a valley-wide low of $3.51 at a Sam's Club in South Jordan, and a high of $3.79 at a Chevron located at 210 South 700 East in Salt Lake.

Sunday's prices were 57.8 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, and 19.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, the website said.

Nationally, gas has increased 7.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.92 per gallon. The national average has increased 29.2 cents per gallon during the last month and is $1.01 per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
