FARMINGTON — Commuters looking for a quick bite will likely appreciate the offerings of the newest Harmons grocery store, which opened its doors Monday.
The locally owned chain's first Davis County store, located at 200 N. Station Parkway in Farmington, marks the 14th for the chain and the first for the million square-foot Station Park shopping center.
Harmons co-owner Bob Harmon said the store will be "a veritable paradise of fresh foods," particularly for commuters looking for a quick bite. The store is located just south of the Frontrunner rail station and will feature a variety of grab-and-go options.
Some of the unique offerings at the Farmington location include a full-time dietitian to assist customers and a cooking school. The store also boasts a cheese island with a selection of up to 200 imported and domestic varieties.
This store will be the chain's first to omit tobacco from its offerings. Harmons hopes to eventually extend the policy to its existing stores.
