ST. GEORGE — A personal trainer who police say had an "inappropriate sexual relationship" with a 14-year-old client has been arrested.
Suni Andersen, 36, of St. George, was booked into the Washington County Jail for investigation of five counts of forcible sex abuse and five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
On Tuesday, detectives began investigating allegations that Andersen "had been involved in a sexual relationship" with a now 16-year-old boy, said St. George police detective Johnny Heppler.
The relationship allegedly began about two years ago when the boy was 14.
"The relationship started when his personal fitness trainer ... made sexual advances toward him," Heppler said. "Eventually, Suni allegedly began engaging in sexual encounters with the young male."
The incidents occurred at her St. George home during the teen's training sessions, Heppler said.
