George Elmer Patterson blessed the lives of his goodly parents Charles Elmer and Leoni Leoti Patterson on December 1, 1923. He learned early in life the value of hard work, which he instilled in his children when he established his own family with Clara Ann Miner on October 10, 1947, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 9, 1958. George and Clara had three children: Ranee, Carl (Isabel) and Allen (Danna). His family was his focus in life. He was Grandpa George to six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. George was a hard worker. His craftsmanship was one of his great talents and many beautiful items were created by his hands which were gentle enough to cradle an infant and tough enough to complete the most challenging tasks. He was a builder not just of items or buildings, but of a strong and steadfast legacy that will live on forever and honor his name. George served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Rudyerd Bay. He later married Karma Bruno on December 28, 1997, who was a dear companion to him for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wives Clara Ann and Karma. "And just the moment when someone at my side says: Goodbye, he is gone! There are other eyes watching him coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout. Here he comes!" Till we meet again! Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corner Canyon 5th Ward, 13006 S. Boulter St., Draper, UT.
