Joey, Joey, JoeyOur son, brother, grandson, and friend Joseph Lee Thorn, passed away Friday, July 01, 2011 after an accidental fall that left him with brain injuries from which he could not recover. We are comforted knowing he is now free from any suffering. Joey was born in Salt Lake City on January 1st, 1991 to Todd Thorn and Kelly Brookes. At the age of 4 he was adopted by Patrick and Jodi Thorn Tucker, gaining two siblings, Arthur and Keera. He had a rare energy and sense of fun and his childhood years were an adventure for all that knew him. He was a very gifted natural athlete; watching him run, shoot hoops or play baseball was magic. He loved playing the drums, music from the 80's, and when he danced, onlookers were amazed and envious. He is survived by his parents Pat and Jodi Tucker, father Todd Thorn, siblings Arthur and Keera, his grandfather Joesph Thorn, Uncle Clayton, Aunt Becky; cousins Garrett and Lindsay and his Uncle Paul, Aunt Linda; cousins Angel Tucker and Alix Ann (Tucker) Rodenburg. He is welcomed to the next step in his journey by his much loved and much missed Grandmother, Goldeen. We as a family are thankful to all our friends and family for their never ending love and support. We have been overwhelmed by your prayers, thoughts, and good wishes and you will never know just how much that has meant to us. Special thanks go to the University of Utah Neuro Critical Care Unit for their help, support, and outstanding care to patients and their family members.
