KAYSVILLE — The son of a former state senator will fill a vacant seat in the Utah House of Representatives.
The Standard Examiner of Ogden reports Dr. Stewart Barlow, a Republican from Fruit Heights, has been elected by delegates in House District 17 after defeating seven other candidates.
Barlow, a heart and neck surgeon, will replace Rep. Julie Fisher who resigned last month.
His father, Haven Barlow, was a legislator for 42 years.
