Terry Ann Lewis1955 ~ 2011Terry Ann (Dill) Lewis, our sweet wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to so many, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends after a valiant lifelong battle against Cystic Fibrosis. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 5, 1955. Terry was the daughter of Walter Bruce and Lorraine Dill. Terry loved her early years playing in the trees that surrounded her family home. She graduated from Holt High School and attended Brigham Young University. In 1976 she met and married Howard H. Lewis in the Manti Temple. Howard was her greatest fan, best friend and strongest supporter over the years. They raised six children together. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. One of her favorite callings was the time she spent with her husband serving in the nursery. Terry loved kids. She always kept a box of toys and a shelf of books ready to be used by any neighbor children looking for a place to play. Terry also kept toys in her purse for the children she met in the waiting rooms at the hospital. She enjoyed her time spent playing all kinds of games surrounded by her children and their friends. Terry served for many years as an election judge in Orem and loved the people she served and worked with. Terry loved to read and found great joy in all kinds of books especially the scriptures. She always had a great sense of humor that helped keep her sanity throughout her life. She had many friends and truly loved people. She was always happiest when she told us at the end of the day that 'She made a new friend today'. She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine. Terry is survived by her husband Howard and six children Jeremiah, Christopher, Andrew, Derek, Zachery (Nancy) and Heather. She is also survived by her father, Bruce Dill, Brother Gary (Nola), sisters, Dianne, Pennie and LeAnn Christensen (Kevin). The Lewis Family expresses their deep gratitude and appreciation for the love, the incredible care and the support offered over the years by the doctors and staff of the Intermountain Cystic Fibrosis Center at the University of Utah. The family is also grateful to the many neighbors and friends who have been there so unconditionally throughout Terry's life. Memorial service will be Monday, October 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Aspen 3rd Ward, 1546 North 1100 West, Orem, Utah.
