The Atlantic Coast Conference schedule is as scattered as it has ever been.

There are seven Thursday night games this year, one Friday night tilt and there's already been a rare Monday night contest.

These televised matchups provide ACC schools with great exposure, but also knocks them off their routine. Coaches say that can make playing in a national spotlight a dicey proposition.

Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe says it all comes down to a bottom line: Winning.

That makes Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer a big fan of the games. The No. 11 Hokies are playing back-to-back Thursday night games again this year, and have won 17 of their last 22.
