Frank J. Zupo1945 ~ 2012Our hearts are heavy with grief as we say goodbye to an extraordinary man. Frank J. Zupo, 67, passed from this life October 5, 2012 while visiting friends in Mesquite, Nevada. He leaves his wife Pam Cosco Zupo of 44 years; his son John M. Zupo (Pamela); daughter Gina L. Zupo; grandchildren Ella and Evan; sister Maria Ashbaugh (Larry); nephew Nicholas Ashbaugh; his cousins Jimmy Lupo, Bonnie Nell Gregonis, Patti Young, Ron Vidano, Patrick Bonacci; and many close friends.Born in Salt Lake City, the son of Frank and Sylvia Bonacci Zupo, he was a longtime resident of Midway, Utah. He attended Judge Memorial Catholic high school and graduated in 1964 from Skyline high school where he was an exceptional athlete. He loved the game of football and excelled during his high school career to earn an All-State title. He attended Westminster College, graduating in 1971 with a bachelor's degree in Business. He had the opportunity to join the Traveler's Insurance Company but soon discovered his passion lay in the grocery industry where he would spend the next thirty years of his career. Frank was proud of his business accomplishments at Colgate-Palmolive, Performance Systems, Bromar, and Marketing Specialists but always carried himself with a gentle humility. Frank spent his retirement years actively involved in helping in his Midway community where he served on the Dutch Fields Homeowner's Association Board and was always available to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need. He enjoyed watching the Cooking channel with his favorite lapdog Louie, gardening, and playing a good game of golf with the guys. Frank adored his two young grandchildren and loved nothing better than spending time playing "talking animals" and coloring with Crayons. He was a devoted father who always told his kids to "find what you love and happiness will follow." Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life open house Friday, October 12, 2012 between the hours of 1:00pm-4:00pm at Snake Creek Grill, 650 W 100 S Heber UT. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heber Valley Animal Shelter 635 W Airport Road Heber, or the Children's Justice Center, 1540 E. 980 S. Heber UT, or a charity of your choice.
