Obituary: RICHARDS, NEIL

Neil Bagnall RichardsNov. 11, 1953 ~ Nov. 6, 2012A beloved son to Neil Purnell and Marilyn Bagnall Richards passed away from a heart attack in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Hollywood, California. Neil began his education in Arcadia, California, and graduated from Provo High School in Utah. Neil achieved his Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow. He faithfully served an LDS mission in the Belfast, Ireland Mission. Neil received his Bachelor of Science degree as well as his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Neil received his PHD from the University of Phoenix. He was working on a second Masters at the time of passing. Neil taught and worked as an administrator at various universities and was the recipient of several outstanding professor awards in his career.Neil served in several capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His most recent calling was that of teacher in the High Priest Group. He is preceded in death by his father.He is survived by: his wife Grace, his mother Marilyn Richards Buchanan (Provo, UT), Siblings Dana B. and Christine Richards (San Dimas, CA), Lisa R. and Kelly Clark (Provo, UT), Stephen B. and Corrie Richards (Provo, UT), Jon B. and Marla Richards (Newport Beach, CA), and Bryan B. Richards (Mill Creek, WA). Funeral Services were held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary with a visitation starting an hour prior to the services.
