Mildred ("Milly") Tanner White1931 ~ 2012Mildred ("Milly") Tanner White, 80, of Sevier, Utah, passed away on February 15, 2012 surrounded by family, at the home of her daughter after a courageous fight against cancer. She was born on April 27, 1931 to Orin and Lila Tanner and on June 5, 1951 married the love of her life, Morgan White, in the Logan Temple. Milly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a devoted wife, mother and proud grandmother. She was a hard-worker who loved to serve; always doing something for family, church and friends. Milly was an artist, loved gardening and a great organizer. She was happy, positive, and not afraid to learn something new. Milly served in many leadership positions such as Senior Class President, Primary President and YW President. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Milly was preceded in death by her beloved husband Morgan, brother LaVon Tanner and sisters Corrine Oliver and Val Jolley. She is survived by her 5 children: Tonya Riches (Ken); Morgan C. White (Sue); Steven White; Kimo White (Stephanie); Keoni White (Emily); 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandchildren; brothers John Tanner (Naomi) and Ken Tanner; sister Cleone Schow (Jim); and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the LDS Chapel in Elsinore, Utah. A viewing will be held at Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield on Friday, February 17th from 6-8 p.m. and at the LDS Chapel in Elsinore on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Joseph Cemetery.
