Shaquille O'Neal erased Shawn Bradley's NCAA tournament record of 10 blocks in a game with 11 of his own and No. 7 seed LSU beat No. 10 seed BYU, 94-83. O'Neal also had 26 points, but Maurice Williamson had a surprising 30 points after averaging 7.3 ppg. Kevin Nixon was the leading scorer for the Cougars with 16 points, but he missed eight of nine 3-point attempts.
