Maurine Walker1951 ~ 2012Our precious sister, mother and grandmother died peacefully at home with her family at her side on March 02 2012. Born May 29 1928 to Fritz Marinus Jensen and Anna Marie Bytendorp, the youngest of nine children. She married Wayne James Walker on December 30, 1951 in Elko Nevada, solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1966. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1966, earning her master's degree in social work. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and involved in volunteer organizations such as Child Find of Utah. She enjoyed skiing with her husband and children when her family was young. Later years were filled with traveling, camping and fishing with her husband, children and grandchildren. The trip of her lifetime was to Greece.Survived by sister Anna Jensen Cluff, daughters Ann Marie (Everette) Booth, April (William) Hickman, 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, Preceeded in death by her husband, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and grandson Troy Neff. The family would like to thank Debi, Alan and Aimee at Curo Hospice. We love you Grandma.Funeral services on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12 pm, Hillside 9th Ward, 495 East 5600 S, Murray, UT.
