Obituary: NEEL, MADGE

Madge Black Neel1956 ~ 2012Madge Black Neel was born March 31, 1956 to Phillip and Alice Maxine (Mickie) Black. She married Asa Dwight (Danny) Neel on September 13, 1974 in the Manti Temple. She and Danny have three children, Marcie (James) Wyatt, Dayna (Jacy) Christiansen, and James Asa Neel. Madge loved music and brightened the lives of her family, friends, and various wards with her musical talents. Madge was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in Relief Society presidencies, Primary, and as a ward organist. After fighting cancer, Madge passed away surrounded by family on April 28, 2012. She is preceded in death by nieces Meagan Robbins and Alex Thompson, brother-in-law Ric Thompson, sister-in-law Echo Dawn Neel, and father-in-law Shirley Neel; all of whom surely greeted her with joy. Survived by her husband, children, parents, and siblings Wayne Black and Angie Thompson. All will miss her dearly. The family would like to thank the staff of Timpanogos Regional Hospital, the experts at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, the gracious caregivers of Community Nursing Services, and everyone who gave Madge their prayers and love.Viewings in Madge's honor will be held Wednesday May 2nd from 7:00-9:00 p.m., and Thursday May 3rd from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Lehi West Stake Center, 1920 N 500 W, Lehi, Utah 84043.
