Wesley Chipman Wootton1925 ~ 2012Wesley Chipman Wootton, a good and faithful son, returned home to his Heavenly Father, on July 20, 2012. He was born on December 5, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Tracey and Luna Chipman Wootton. He married Arladyne Salisbury August 22, 1956 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. Later divorced. He married Constance Olsen Biehler October 22, 1966. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He graduated from East High School and earned two Bachelor's degrees in Business and Engineering from the University of Utah. He assisted his father in founding Big Piney Oil Company, and he worked as an aerospace engineer for many years at Hill Air Force Base. Wesley served an LDS mission in Northern California and was active in the LDS church, serving in various positions. He was an especially faithful home teacher and served in the Bountiful, Utah temple as a temple worker. He was a wonderfully kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His family was his greatest joy, and he expressed his love and gratitude to them every time he saw them. His love for all around him was evident with every kind deed, encouraging word, pat on the arm, and kiss on the cheek. His enthusiastic attitude, shown by his cheerful whistling and constant smile, was loved by his family and all who knew him. He loved the outdoors, especially snow and water skiing, jogging, and hiking. He is survived by his wife, Connie, and his children Barry (Lisa) Wootton, Paul Wootton, Bryan Biehler, Brenda Biehler, Angela (Joel) Sandorf, and Gerald (Andrea) Wootton. He has twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother James (Diane) Wootton. He is preceded in death by his son Bret Leigh Biehler, his brother Dick Wootton and his sister Jean Celio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at the Centerville 11th Ward, 270 North 400 East in Centerville, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 PM or Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the same address. Fireworks in celebration of his life will be seen throughout the valley on Tuesday. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery. Wesley's family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice, especially Stacey, for all their kind and loving care. We would also like to thank the many family members and friends who gave so willingly of their time to care for their father and grandfather.
