Bevan Jermain Suggs1972 ~ 2012Bevan Jermain Suggs was born April 21, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada and went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 16, 2012. Bevan began his early schooling in Las Vegas, Nevada. After moving to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1980, he continued his education in Granite School District, Christ Lutheran School and Judge Memorial High School. Upon returning to Las Vegas, he graduated from Faith Lutheran High School in 1990. Bevan also attended UNLV, and the University of Utah. He received and Associate Degree from the College of Southern Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was an avid scholar and had planned to earn a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Bevan was a licensed bartender.At the age of eight, Bevan accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at New Pilgrim Baptist Church. During his early years, he was active with the youth and young adult ministries at his church. Bevan also enjoyed serving and helping others. It was not uncommon to observe him mowing an elderly citizen's lawn, collecting items for those in need or helping with the Operations Smiles Program.Bevan married Diane Gaor in 1992 and was blessed with one daughter through that union. God also blessed him with a son and another daughter.Bevan Jermain Suggs is survived by his parents: Lloyd and Joyce Moore Gray, SLC, UT and Billy and Ethel Suggs, Las Vegas, NV; three children: Jasmine A. Suggs, Los Angeles, CA; Jevante Jermain Suggs, SLC, UT and Jaliyah Jaynell Suggs, SLC, UT; two step sisters: Dwala Gray Toombs (General), Glenburnie, MD and Denise Gray Howard, SLC, UT; two aunts, Margaret Moore Davenport (Nathan), Glenburnie, MD and Patricia Moore Cooper, Virginia Beach, VA; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.The service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 23, 2012 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 5133 South Heath Avenue, Kearns, UT. You may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road.
