CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Fourteen years after his college playing days at West Virginia, Damon Cogdell's love for Mountaineers football continues to pay recruiting dividends.

There is quite a pipeline between West Virginia and Miramar High School in Florida, where Cogdell is the head coach. Five players from Miramar — located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — are on West Virginia's roster.

Two of the three players on West Virginia's football media guide are Miramar products.

Quarterback Geno Smith and wide receiver Stedman Bailey have set numerous school records since arriving and will help lead West Virginia into its debut season in the Big 12.
