SALT LAKE CITY — Charges were filed Tuesday against a man accused of stealing custom-made ice skates worth several thousand dollars.

Leonard Wayne Regier, 39, was charged with six counts of theft, a third-degree felony, in 3rd District Court for his alleged participation in the theft.

On July 20, Unified police say two men entered the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, 5662 S. 4800 West, and stole items from several lockers. Among the property taken was a pair of ice skates custom made for speed skating, worth several thousand dollars.

Jesse Michael Wood, 41 from Taylorsville, was charged July 31 with six counts of theft after employees at the ice skating facility identified him in surveillance video.
