Teresa Velarde Trujillo1925 ~ 2012MAGNA, UTOur beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister left this world on December 29, 2012. Mom was greeted by dad and all her loved ones that have gone before her. Born December 15, 1925 to Manuelita Cortez and Joe Arcenio Velarde. Mom married Paul E. Trujillo on September 21, 1948 and together they had 8 children, Tony, Pete, Marcie, Gloria, Frances, Chris, Kate, and baby Anthony. Mom loved all her family with all her heart, she was our anchor, she was always there for us all. Her son, Tony was her best friend and together they spent countless hours together. Mom and Tony had a very special bond. Mom we love you so very much, now you and dad can be together again. Survived by her sons, Tony and Pete (Veronica) Trujillo; daughters, Kate (Gerry) Wilson, Chris (Randy) Patrick, Fran (Felix) Trujillo, Gloria (Dave) Sandoval, Marcie (Herman) Candelario; special niece/daughter, Christina Irrizay; brothers, Dave, Gilbert, Fred, and Joel Velarde; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband; parents; baby son, Anthony; grandson, Angelo Trujillo; sisters, Edna, Mary, and Rose; and brother, Frank.Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 S. 9000 W., where a viewing will be held Thursday 6-7 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 7 p.m. Committal: Valley View Memorial Park.
