Ann Domichel1919 ~ 2013Albina "Ann" Domichel, of West Valley City, Utah, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013.Born July 14, 1919, Ann was the daughter of Felix and Julia Mark. She grew up in Murray, Utah and married Frank Domichel April 24, 1946. For many years Ann and Frank owned and ran Ann's Café which was well known in the West Valley area on Redwood Road. Ann's happy and welcoming personality was a fixture in the café and in the lives of family and friends. She was a generous spirit and a kind-hearted soul who loved to create happiness in those around her. Her cooking brought much joy to others and she loved to share her delicious meals and treats with those in her life. She was a devout Catholic, enjoyed attending church often, praying for loved ones and those in need. Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed babies and young children, delighting in their giggles and kisses. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially shopping and eating together. She is survived by her son, John (Sally) Domichel, Salt Lake City; daughter, Patricia (Douglas) Wood, Valencia, CA; 4 grandchildren, Christina (Matt) Kahler, Angela (Charlie) Nelden, James (Jennifer) Wood, and Danielle (Anthony) Pozzuoli; 4 great-grandchildren, Blake and Kendall Kahler, John and Nicholas Nelden; great-grandson on the way, Zane Murdock Wood; sister, Marge (William) Barber. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; 3 brothers; 3 sisters.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 2, 2013, 12:00 noon at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West. A viewing will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
