Suzanne Heaps"Loving wife, Mother & Granny Sue"South Jordan, UTSuzanne Dickerson Heaps passed away at her home in South Jordan, Utah on November 4, 2013 after a prolonged illness.Sue was born October 8, 1959 in Inglewood, California, to Larry and Sally Dickerson. She spent her childhood years in the Cottonwood Heights area of Salt Lake City and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1978. While attending Dixie College in St. George, Utah, Sue met Brad Heaps and the two were married on September 13, 1979, in the Salt Lake Temple.Sue was kind and generous to everyone, which made her a friend to many. She loved scrap booking and other crafty things, gardening and digging in the dirt, entertaining at family parties and trips to Disneyland. She was able to take one last trip there, with her family, in October, 2013. The thing that Sue loved most in life was her children. There was nothing she was more ambitious about in life than being a Mother and Granny Sue. All she ever wanted was the best for them.Sue served in many callings for the LDS church, all of which she enjoyed, as long as she didn't have to speak in Sacrament meeting.Sue is survived by her husband Brad, children Jeff, Todd (Brittany), Samantha and Nicole, grandsons Easton and Blake, her parents, brothers Jon (Kim), Joel (Jena), Jim (Debbie) and sister Diane.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the South Jordan Stake Center 10400 S. 2450 W. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 8 at the Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 S. As well as 1 hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heaps girls' college fund at any America First Credit Union. The family would like to thank Dr. Saundra Buys and her team at the Huntsman Cancer hospital for their care and concern for Sue. She loved all of you people. Also, thank you to Community Nursing Services for their consideration and care during the last few months and weeks of Sue's life.
