SALT LAKE CITY — Children who are new to the United States will receive some Christmas cheer thanks to University of Utah students and Catholic Community Services.

Students from the U.’s Lowell Bennion Community Service Center wrapped gifts for refugee children at Catholic Community Services’ Refugee Foster Care building.

The gifts being wrapped at the service project have all been donated by the community to help children in need through CCS Gift of the Drummer program. Overall, this program will serve more than 1,200 homeless, low-income and refugee children this holiday season.
