Sandra Hansen1949 ~ 2013Sandra Hansen, 64, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, March 13, 2013 after bravely battling breast cancer for 8 years. Sandy leaves behind her husband Mike of 42 years, her 5 children Travis (Rochelle), Tressa (JD), Melissa (Tyler), Andrea (Byron), and Mike (Alie). She also leaves behind her 2 brothers Brent and Hal Tippetts, and 10 1/2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Craig and her parents Harold and Lorela Tippetts. Sandy was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend. Sandy was born on March 8, 1949 in Ogden, Utah to Harold J and Lorela Tippetts. She attended Davis High School and graduated with the class of 1967. She was a talented artist who went on to attend Utah State University. It was there that she met her husband Mike and they began their life's journey. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces (Chelsea and Megan), nephews, cousins, and friends. She was an amazing grandma who treasured every minute spent with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the church members, the hospice nurses, and the many friends who helped care for Sandy (and Mike) during her final days. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 20th, at 11:00am at the Farmington Utah North Stake Center, located at 729 West Shepard Lane, Farmington, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 19th from 6:00pm 8:00pm at the Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 1941 North Main Street Farmington, Utah and at the Farmington Utah North Stake Center on Wednesday March 20th from 9:30am 10:30 am prior to services.
