The Jazz earned an important victory in their must-win game against the Mnnesota Timberwolves on the road Monday night.

The Jazz stormed out of the blocks to earn a big lead early on in the first quarter, but the Timberwolves fought back in the second quarter, to cut the lead to just two. They were unable to tie the game however, and the Jazz went into halftime with an eight point lead.

Despite a run late in the third quarter, the Timberwolves were never able to get back into the game, and in the end it was a comfortable win for the team from Utah.

The Jazz shot 47 percent from the field, but will be disappointed with their three-point efforts, having only made three out of 10 on Monday. Al Jefferson led all scoring, with 22 points. Mo Williams also had a strong second half to finish the game with 15 points, and Derrick Favors added 12 from the bench.
