Sioeli F. Katoa1946 ~ 2013Returned to his Heavenly Father on May 24, 2013 surrounded by his wife and children and many loved ones.Sioeli was born on Feburary 1, 1946 in Ha'utu, Tongatapu to Semisi and Suliana Katoa. He grew up there and later met and married his wife Ilaisaane Ngalu. They moved here to Utah in 1972 and raised their 9 children.Sioeli was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His love and testimony of the Gospel was shown through his faithful service to family, friends and church. He devoted much of his life to temple work. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved them very much.He is survived by his wife, Ilaisaane and children Taiena, Hema (Becky), Fatai (Pita), Milika (Sione), Salote, Lepeka, Sio (KrisTina), Semisi and Sione Angilau, 19 grandchildren; his brothers and sisters: Sione, Paula, Tapenisi Falahola, Salote Fonua and Inoke. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings and his son, Sione. We would like to express our appreciation to all doctors, nurses and medical staff that cared for our dad.All funeral services will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary on 6500 S Redwood Road. Friday, May 31, 2013 viewing will start at 6:00 pm and the family program will begin promptly at 7-10 pm. Saturday, June 1, 2013 viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 am and service begins at 11:00 am.
