Ilaisaane Lautala Matakaiongo Fangupo1923 ~ 2013WEST JORDAN, UTOur beloved mother, grandmother and greatmother, Ilaisaane Lautala Matakaiongo Fangupo returned to be with our Father in Heaven on June 4, 2013 at 10:22am. Ilaisaane was born on January 9, 1923 to Filimone & Meleti Matakaiongo in Vaini Tongatapu and is survived by 8 children: Pisila Po'oi, Uata Fangupo, Kinania Fangupo, Alisi Namupau'u, Ovaleni Fangupo, Langatotota Tatafu, Katea Fangupo, Sau Fangupo, 35 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Timote Fangupo and her son, Mosese Fangupo.She was a woman of true devotion to her family and was loved by all she came in contact with. Ilaisaane exuberated Christlike love that not only touched the hearts of her children but penetrated the hearts of her grandchildren. She is the heart of her family and her loving influence has and will continue to strengthen the bonds of her posterity. Although she is passed her legacy of faith and love will live on through generations to come. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake Utah South Tongan Stake Center, 5015 S 4620 W, Kearns, UT. Viewing will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7411 S 4800 W, West Jordan, UT at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 14th and will be laid to rest at Redwood Memorial Estate on Saturday, June 15th.
