Austin Jay Gillespie2000 ~ 2013Austin Jay Gillespie, beloved and precious son of Arden and Keri Gillespie and brother of Aidan and Emily, passed quietly and peacefully from this life on August 26, 2013, from complications resulting from congenital hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy. He was born October 5, 2000, in Oklahoma City, OK, at University of Oklahoma Medical Center. We knew even before his birth that his life would be extraordinary. Despite his inability to walk or speak, he travelled many miles and experienced many adventures, and spoke volumes to us. His quiet spirit brought peace and the light of Christ wherever he was. His smile and sense of humor brought happiness to everyone who met him. He is survived by his parents and siblings of Riverton, his grandparents Madge Ford of Fredonia, AZ, and Royce and Deborah Gillespie of Kanab, UT, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandparents, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Delano Ford, and uncle Trent Glazier.Austin leaves behind a loving extended family at Kauri Sue Hamilton School and Jordan Valley School. Many friendships lay behind their doors. We are also thankful for the care and love given to him by his many physicians and medical professionals at Southpoint Pediatrics, especially Dr. Kevin Lash, and Primary Children's Medical Center. All of you made his life as full and happy as possible. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Austin Gillespie Memorial Fund for KSHS, Jordan Education Foundation, 7387 S.
