Leonard B. Allsup1940 ~ 2014Leonard Bufard Allsup died peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning January 26, 2014 at his home in Orem, Utah. Leonard was born January 28, 1940 in San Bernardino, California. He was the son of Bufard Edward and Nancy Ruthie Akers Allsup. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, DeLyle Howes Allsup, his mother Nancy Ruthie Akers Fitzpatrick, 10 children; Trenton Leonard (wife) Lisa Marie Reynolds Allsup of Herriman, Utah Drew Bufard (wife) Kari Lewis Allsup of Provo, Utah Brooke Allsup of Rigby, Idaho Blayne Taylor (wife) Kimberly Kellett Allsup of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Amber Allsup of Orem, Utah- Tracey Allsup (husband) Eric Jay Whitehead of Lindon, Utah Tara Allsup (husband) Major William Martin Priddis of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas Shadd Arcel (wife) Shalynn Thomas Allsup of Honeyville, Utah Dahllyn Lyle Allsup of Orem, Utah Aaron Destry (wife) Amanda Thomas Allsup of Orem, Utah, 27 grandchildren, - 3 sisters Peggy Sue Allsup (husband) Paul King of Reno, Nevada - 1 brother Bart Andrew (wife) Sharon Allsup of Phelan, California - Betty Jo Friday Kennedy of La Luz, New Mexico - Lita Nell Friday (husband) Robert Leon Compton of Austin, Texas.Leonard was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso, Texas, from Brigham Young University, Southern Utah State College, and Northwestern Louisiana State University. He taught school for 28 years and retired in 2005 from Jordan High School. He enjoyed gardening, making pottery and traveling. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Park 2nd Ward Chapel, 1150 West 400 South, Orem, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 9:30 to 10:40 am.
