Clark B. Archbold1934 ~ 2014Clark B. Archbold, 79, passed away January 29, 2014 due to complications from a knee infection. Born September 18, 1934 to John L. and Gertrude Clark Archbold, Clark married Donna Provstgard in the Salt Lake Temple on March 24, 1961. He was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, fulfilling many Church callings throughout his lifetime. His favorite was teaching Gospel Doctrine. Clark graduated from the University of Utah with a master's degree in Educational Psychology and worked as a teacher, coach, and counselor at South High School before retiring as a counselor from Highland High School. He loved spending time with his family, history, going out to dinner, sports, cowboy movies, cookies, buying his grandchildren soft-serve ice cream. Clark is survived by his wife Donna; three children: Margo Dillingham (Kyle), Greg (Monique Oberhansly), and Matt (Joanne Dunbar); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his brother Kent (Pat). He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ralph and John, and his sister Kay Smith. A viewing will be held Friday, January 31, from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Butler 10th Ward building, 6600 South Greenfield Way in Cottonwood Heights. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 at the Butler 10th Ward. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Interment will take place at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memorial Lane, Holladay, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please take someone you love out for lunch or dinner
