Dancing dubstep violinist Lindsey Stirling may be world-renowned in a way most teens can only dream of, but the 28-year-old has more in common with her young fans than meets the eye.

The woman who has amassed more than 800 million views and 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube once questioned her self-worth, battled an eating disorder and was told her dreams were out of reach.

The returned missionary discussed her insecurities, her career and her testimony with Mormon youths in a live, online event sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

A recording of the event is available to view above.

The event, titled "Face to Face," was the second of its kind; "American Idol" finalist David Archuleta was the subject of the first event in June.
