BICKNELL, Wayne County — Four people were inside a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter Tuesday when it made a hard landing in Wayne County.
No injuries were reported.
About 9 a.m., the helicopter was being used with members of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources as part of an antelope roundup. The chopper was flying 15 to 20 feet above the ground when "the pilot experienced a loss of lift to the aircraft which resulted in a controlled, hard landing and caused damage to the helicopter," the department said in a statement.
Both the Federal Aviation Administration and an internal Utah Department of Public Safety investigation are being conducted.
