Salt Lake City-based Sorenson Communications helped nearly 100 Boy Scouts earn the new Digital Technology merit badge, launched by the Boy Scouts of America earlier this year.

To earn the new Digital Technology merit badge, Scouts are required to visit a business that uses digital technology and to learn four ways technology is used there. Sorenson, based in Salt Lake City, is a provider of video relay services for deaf people who use sign language to communicate.
