Max Lee PinegarSept. 18, 1931 ~ Feb. 26, 2014Max Lee Pinegar, age 82, after fighting a good fight, passed away on the 26th of Feb. 2014, in Provo, UT surrounded by his loving family. Born the 18th of Sept. 1931 in Orem, UT, Max and his twin Rex were the youngest of 10 born to John Franklin Pinegar and Grace Murl Ellis. Lynne Frances Johnson became his bride on the 21st of Dec. 1962 in the Manti Temple. Loyal native of Spanish Fork, Max graduated high school in 1949 and then served in the Utah Air Guard from 1951-52. He was a faithful missionary in the Netherlands from 1953-56 and graduated from BYU with a Finance & Accounting degree in 1961, having been the student body president. He presided over the Netherlands Mission 1971-74 and the LTM/MTC 1974-79. In 2003 he retired from Nu Skin after 15 years as General Manager and Senior VP. Max loved his family dearly. He treasured this beautiful country, his neighbors, friends, and his church. Living his testimony, Max valiantly served the Lord as a bishop, high councilor, stake president, mission and MTC president and patriarch. Above all he was a devoted home teacher. Max is survived by his wife Lynne; children Lauren (Tracy) Allred, Tyler, Paula (Joseph) Ware, Stanford (Marilyn), Spencer (Heather), Christina (Charles) Patten, and Matthew (Kristina); 26 1/2 grandchildren; sister Murl; brothers Rex and Lynn; and scores of nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held Mon, 3rd of March at 11 am at the Orem Northridge Stake Center, 1674 N 200 W followed by burial at the Orem City Cemetery. Viewings will be held Sun, 2nd of March from 6-8 pm at Walker Sanderson at 646 E 800 N, Orem, and from 9:30-10:45 prior to services at the Stake Center.
