Dunk Taylor1927 ~ 2014Fremont/Bicknell, UtahRoss Duncan "Dunk" Taylor died in Fremont, Utah on his 87th birthday. He was born March 17, 1927, in Fremont, Utah the ninth child of twelve, and 3rd son of William Gross and Emily Bell Duncan Taylor. Dunk married Vera Snow, August 6, 1949, in Teasdale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple, February 14, 1951. Vera died on November 26, 2000. Dunk married Roma Ellett Kenney in Bicknell, Utah on September 20, 2003. They lived in Bicknell.Dunk is survived by his wife Roma of Payson; children, DeRae and Robert Fillmore, William Charles and Cherlyn Sorenson Taylor, all Fremont; Kerry McClain Taylor and Barbara Lester, Salt Lake City (currently in Kenya, Africa); DeLores Anne and Gerald Brock Jumper, Jr. Tracy, CA; Riley D. and Joni Mecham Taylor, Bicknell; and foster son, Julius Chavez, West Valley City, Utah; step-sons: Joe and Connie Kenney, Garth and Jann Kenney, David and Kathryn Kenney, Dana and Lesa Kenney, all of Utah County; sisters: Ora Mascaro, Fremont; Wilma Ann Boone, Stansbury Park; Sherma Sondrup, Orem; and Carole Dean and Glen Chabot, Eureka, CA. Dad is Gramp to 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grand children. Also, 16 step grandchildren and 23 step great-grandchildren and a brother in-law, Emery Snow. He is preceded in death by a daughter Camille Taylor; a great-grandson Christian James Moosman; siblings; Verna Vell McDonald, Joseph Chapman Taylor, Van Taylor, Clay Blackburn, Lela Oyler, Cheryl Hill, and Baur Dee Sheffield.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fremont LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the Ward Chapel in Fremont Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
