SALT LAKE CITY — Plans have been announced for a high-rise senior living center that will be built in Sugar House.
Western States Lodging said the project is called Legacy Village of Sugar House and it will provide senior housing and care for upcoming baby-boomers.
The center, to be located at 1214 E. Wilmington Ave., will include retail space, a parking structure, as well as additional levels dedicated to senior housing and services. It will be the 11th senior community built and managed by Western States Lodging & Management.
Legacy Village will serve three distinct senior living market segments — independent living, assisted living and memory care. The community will provide extensive services to each of its residents. For those who need additional help, specially-trained caregivers will provide assistance with medications and other activities of daily living.
“We are excited to add Legacy Village of Sugar House to our redevelopment," said development manager Aabir Malik. "Sugar House is a vibrant neighborhood with diverse needs, and this project, by providing seniors with a place to live in this community, further contributes to the diverse housing options that are available in the area.”
