March 14, 2014 — County prosecutors investigating Swallow and Shurtleff pass along allegations of wrongdoing by Sens. Harry Reid and Mike Lee to the U.S. Department of Justice

April 22, 2014 — Report released, says that Shurtleff's conduct during the prosecution of Jenson "descended to such a low point that senior attorneys within the (office) began to wonder about whether he was a 'spy' passing along adverse information to Jenson and whether he was contemporaneously exchanging text messages with Jenson while prosecutors were prosecuting him in court"

April 23, 2104 — Shurtleff appears on "The Doug Wright Show," says that if he is faced with criminal charges, "I'm going to win. They're going to lose"

May 2, 2012 — An unsealed search warrant reveals more text messages in the Shurtleff and Swallow investigation

June 2, 2014 — FBI, State Bureau of Investigation and public safety agents search the Sandy homes of Swallow and Shurtleff

June 4, 2014 — New search warrant involving Swallow's campaign manager unsealed Wednesday in 3rd District Court

June 23, 2014 — Search warrants released Monday state Swallow used Jeremy Johnson's luxury houseboat and Ferrari while he was chief deputy in the attorney general's office, and Shurtleff used Johnson's private jet to pick up a celebrity

Swallow is charged with pattern of unlawful activity, a second-degree felony, illegally accepting gifts, a second-degree felony, and two counts of receiving bribes by a public official, a third-degree felony. Shurtleff is charged with a pattern of unlawful activity, a second-degree felony; three counts of receiving or soliciting bribes by a public official, a third-degree felony; improper use of an employee's position, a class B misdemeanor; two counts of witness tampering, one third-degree felony and one class A misdemeanor; tampering with evidence, a class A misdemeanor; and two counts of obstruction of justice, a class A misdemeanor
