In June 2014, singer David Archuleta participated in the first Face to Face event, an interactive Q&A hosted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The event gave youths the chance to engage in a conversation with the singer as they submitted questions for the live online chat.
Since then, LDS youths have had Face to Face discussions with violinist Lindsey Stirling in November and Elder David A. Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and his wife, Susan, in May.
On Tuesday at 6 p.m. MDT, youths will have an opportunity to learn from The Piano Guys in the church’s fourth Face to Face event.
“What do you get when you mix up a marketing genius that does video, a studio engineer that writes music, a pianist that had a successful solo career and a cellist that does pretty much everything?” the group's YouTube channel descriptions reads. “The Piano Guys: a miraculous meeting of 'guys' with the same intrinsic purpose — to make a positive impact in the lives of people all over the world through music videos.”
The group has done just that, creating videos that have accumulated more than 740 million views on YouTube. On Tuesday, The Piano Guys will have a new opportunity to positively impact the lives of youths as they answer questions about their beliefs as members of the LDS Church.
“We express our gratitude to The Piano Guys for their willingness to share their experiences and testimonies with the youth of the church,” Elder Craig A. Cardon of the Seventy told lds.org. “I know that all who faithfully participate, no matter their global location or means of connection, will be strengthened and edified by the Spirit during the event.”
Youths can submit questions before or during the event on LDS.org. Questions can also be submitted via Twitter, Instagram or the LDS Youth Facebook page using #LDSface2face. The event will be streamed online on LDS.org, the LDS Youth YouTube channel and the LDS Youth Facebook page.
