BuzzFeed published an article Friday morning about husband and father Ryan Raddon, who is best known as DJ Kaskade. The article, titled “True Believer,” discusses Raddon’s faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Forty-four-year-old Raddon, who was raised in an LDS home in Northbrook, Illinois, and served a full-time mission in Japan, openly discusses his faith throughout the article. He specifically addresses the seemingly contradictory nature of his career as one of the world's highest-paid DJs and his life as a member of the LDS Church.

“Early on in my career, people would show up with a limousine and bags of drugs and hookers and be like, ‘Ooh let’s party, man! Kaskade’s the best! Let’s freaking rock!’… There was pressure to kind of participate," Raddon is quoted in the article as saying. “And a perceived pressure, like, ‘You could be more successful if you partied with these people ...’ or whatever. I just said, ‘Sorry, I don’t do any of that. Save it for the guy performing tomorrow night.’”

The article also addresses how Raddon feels about his fans participating in the aforementioned activities, as well as how he has managed to stay true to himself.
