YouTube sensation and dancing violinist Lindsey Stirling collaborated with YouTube a cappella entertainer Peter Hollens to create a Star Wars medley in 2013, but in light of Friday's release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," the force of their excitement remains strong.

The medley video was originally published on Aug. 9, 2013, and has garnered almost 6 million views since then.

In honor of the newest Star Wars film, Stirling posted the video on Facebook and called Dec. 18 the "day we've all been waiting for."

In the video, the two sit down to watch a film labeled "Peter Hollens and Lindsey Stirling" and quickly become enthralled by the film. Footage shows Hollens, dressed as a Jedi, singing and Stirling, dressed as characters such as Princess Leia, dancing and playing the violin. Even Darth Vader and Chewbacca make appearances in the medley video. The video concludes with the pair fighting an unknown force using inanimate household objects.

The Piano Guys also expressed their excitement for the new film by sharing their Star Wars-themed "Cello Wars" video on Facebook. The video has accumulated almost 28 million views since it was posted to YouTube in 2011.
